Family Law Attorney
Scott Mann handles all aspects of U.S. and International complex Family Law matters, including divorce, spousal and child support, child custody, and premarital agreements. He accepts traditional litigation, mediation and collaborative law cases. Scott is an American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers Fellow, a Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers and is Past-President of the Kansas Bar Association Family Law Section. He is experienced in cases involving closely held business interests.
Scott received his law degree at the University of Missouri, Columbia. He is a member of the Johnson County Bar Association and Family Law Section (Member, Family Law Bench-Bar Committee), Kansas Bar Association (President, Family Law Section 2008-2009), The Missouri Bar (Member, Family Law Section), American Bar Association (Chair, Bankruptcy Committee of the Family Law Section, 2009-2012; Member, Editorial Board of “Family Advocate,” 2011-2014).
Scott is a Fellow at the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers; Member, International Academy of Collaborative Practice; President of the Kansas Chapter of AAML (2015-2017); Member, Impact KC (2008-2012); President, The Mercury Club (2004); Board Member, Children’s Therapeutic Learning Center (1995-2001).
Scott has been selected by peers for “Best of the Bar,” Kansas City Business Journal, and for Missouri/Kansas “Super Lawyers” multiple times. He is included in the 2018 Edition of The Best Lawyers of America for Family Law published by U.S. News. Scott is peer-rated “AV-Preeminent” by Martindale Hubbell, for the highest level of professional excellence. He is an Editor, Kansas Bar Association “Practitioner’s Guide to Family Law,” 2nd Edition (2013) and is a frequent presenter at AAML, ABA, and state and local bar association continuing legal education seminars.
